Hottest Night in History

It's nearly official - last night was the hottest night recorded in history dependent on the cool change expected today which could prevent the record if it arrives early. The previous record was 30.6C recorded on Feburary 1, 1902.

No wonder I couldn't sleep last night, the temperature reached 32.3 degrees Celsius and that's how hot it stayed for most of the night despite a little rain shower and a cool breeze. It was around the same temperature when I drove to work this morning.

They have forecast another hot day here in Melbourne, some areas have been forecast 40 degrees Celsius before the cool change is due to hit - I hope this isn't what the rest of summer will be like. Warm is okay but HOT is ridiculous!!

It's much easier to get warm than it is to get cool!!!!!
